It went off after a minute, then came back twice the next morning. The car still starts, but I keep wondering if I will get stuck somewhere. My battery is about three and a half years old and the car sits outside most of the day. A friend told me to just change it, but another friend said that light usually points to the alternator, not the battery, and that I could waste money for nothing. I did not know that. I looked online for a Reliable 95Ah Varta battery change near Oud Metha, and every page said the same thing, so I could not tell what to trust. What I really want to understand is how to tell the difference. Does a weak battery turn on that light, or is it only when the car is not charging? Can I check it myself with a cheap tester, or does a shop need to do a proper test? Should I stop driving the car until it is checked, or is a short trip okay? Also, if it turns out to be the battery, is 95Ah the right size for a big SUV like mine, or should I go higher? Where do I find the date on a new one, and is one year warranty normal? And how much should a test cost, if they charge for it at all? If you had this same light, please tell me what the problem was and what you paid to fix it. Easy answers help me most.
